You got to see it to believe it. I was asked to create content for holographic display. Certainly not an easy task, the projection was a +/- 40 minutes speech containing lot’s of floating 3D elements, video, animations and such… The biggest challenge was synchronizing the arm movements with certain floating objects.
When creating a product video, shooting and editing the video isn’t sometimes enough to get the message across. Certainly when you need to explain how certain things work. For this video i was asked to create realistic looking products in 3D and animate them so that the viewer gets an idea of how the product actually works.
Once upon a time… some decades ago, i sort of occupied my time in school, with rather technical classes. The knowledge, from back in the days, came in very handy for this job. Starting with some 2d drawings, i created these 3d product drawings with a rather realistic look.
We all know the situation, construction and road works are always taking place just we you need to get someplace fast. I’ve been asked to create 5 little animation clips to put the ’spotlight’ on those workers, who make sure, we can hit the road in a save way.
Lot’s of activities are coming up. First of all we have the Final Cut Studio Course at TRIX (Antwerp), the course is scheduled as follows:
Niveau 1: every monday evening

Niveau 2: every monday evening
November 9th, 16th, 23th ,30th and December 7th 2009.
‘Forum voor Amateurkunsten’ is organizing an all day event at TRIX called ’stART’, i will give a workshop on ‘Motion Graphics’. This is scheduled October 24th 2009.
I will be creating and bringing motion graphics for the project ‘Idool 1900′. There are also 3 workshops scheduled for this event: October 2nd, 9th and 16th 2009. The result, together with my own work, will be shown and integrated during the live performances. Scheduled at the following dates and places:

This little TV Ident was a test, i’m considering to switch to Cinema 4D. This is created with Cinema 4D, Adobe After Effects and the sound design is done in Apple Logic Studio. Watch the little animation here.

Imagine a game with big touch screen. Throw objects towards the screen, with the objective to try to destroy plenty of bottles and other objects… The image above was a design that didn’t make it to final implementation, though i like it so i post it.
Flyer.be is an online print service for flyers, posters and more. I created the TV commercial, motion graphics are in the line of their current print campaign. For the sound design i started with an excerpt from one of my new compositions.
It’s becoming a new tradition, we start again with Final Cut Studio training at TRIX in Antwerp. The basic course will take place 5 monday evenings and again there is a chance to extend with a 5 week advanced course. Starting from September the 28th 2009.
5 weeks a bit long? A new concept is in the pipeline: a 1 week speed course, more news on this follows.
